Within the next five years, more dental nurses in Västmanland are expected to retire, while fewer are training. Even though it is currently stable within Public Dental Services, several challenges await.
A survey carried out by the trade union Vision also shows that many dental nurses have regretted their choice of profession. Low pay is the main reason, but also high workload and a stressful work situation.
