— In some clinics, we have a situation that is almost urgent. Now we either need to move resources or ask the patients to come to another clinic. To answer completely honestly, over the course of a couple of months, twelve dentists changed units, retired or resigned, says Stjernström.
Dental nurses and dental hygienists are also leaving the profession in the region, he says, but not quite to the same extent.
To reverse the trend, Stjernström says, among other things, that wages need to be raised.
