On the Rappel Conso site, a backpack for children is subject to a recall. Indeed, it contains elements likely to detach and be put in the mouth. Parents are therefore advised to bring this product back to the point of sale or to dispose of it, to avoid any risk of ingestion.
Sometimes dangerous objects for children are the ones we are least suspicious of. A backpack is however the subject of a recall, due to elements likely to be ingested by the youngest.
A backpack from the Maromax brand
This backpack pouch from the Maromax brand has a detachable plush. The object was sold between March 28, 2022 and January 2, 2023 throughout France, according to the Recall Conso sheet. The reason for the recall relates to small detachable elements present on the plush: its eyes, its nose, its suction cup and even the fibrous padding that composes it.
Risk of swallowing or choking
Due to this defect, the backpack poses a risk of swallowing and choking, as small parts can be put in the mouth by children and inhaled or swallowed. The Consumer Reminder sheet therefore advises parents in possession of this backpack to no longer use the product and to return it to the point of sale or simply to destroy it.
A number has been set up for more information, it is 0651358219. In compensation, a refund or an exchange may be offered. The end of the procedure has been set for March 31.
