Linda Staaf: It has been terrible

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

The former head of intelligence at Noa, Linda Staaf, is satisfied with the police’s external investigation. But she is disappointed that she did not receive better backing from the police leadership when the storm was at its worst.

– I feel that from a management perspective I was alone in this situation.

Linda Staaf is very relieved after reading what investigator Runar Viksten came to in his review. After a couple of months of silence, she chooses to now give her picture of the police mess and she believes that the media has a great responsibility for the picture conveyed.

– This investigation has shown that I was well qualified for the position. I earned my job. The decisions that have since been made regarding weapons, salary increases and so on – they have been right in substance. For me it is a form of vindication.

TT: How does it feel that your private life has become a matter of national interest? And that it was used to question your competence?

– Basically, it has been just terrible. But I also want to say that I feel that I have received broad support from the public, from colleagues, employees, from friends, family.
