A suspect under the age of 15 cannot be intercepted, prosecuted or receive social assistance if the parents object.
– Some of these age limits must be reviewed, says Minister of Justice Gunnar Strömmer (M).
In particular, Strömmer raises the issue of wiretapping young criminals. He says the matter will be dealt with, but gives no timetable. But there are also measures that can be taken immediately, believes Strömmer.
Among other things, schools, social services and the police must get better at sharing information between them.
