An explosion occurred in an apartment building in Norrköping during the night of Tuesday. No one was injured and the site is cordoned off.
– Something has exploded in the stairwell of an apartment building. It wasn’t a huge explosion and no one was injured, but there was shrapnel damage in the stairs and damage to the door, says Magnus Holmström, officer on duty at police region East.
The explosion occurred at 03:47 and the site has been cordoned off for a technical investigation.
– We are cooperating with the emergency services and have assessed that there is no risk of anything else exploding. We are knocking on doors and talking to the residents now and technicians are on their way, says Magnus Holmström.
