The electricity subsidy, which will begin to be paid out on February 20, applies to 4.3 million households in southern and central Sweden, in electricity areas 4 and 3.
Based on consumption during the period October 2021 through September 2022. Paid to the person who had the electricity contract on November 17, 2022.
The subsidy is 79 öre per kilowatt hour for those in electricity area 4 and 50 öre per kWh for those in electricity area 3.
Paid out via Swedbank. Households that have not previously registered their bank accounts there are asked to do so. It is not required that you become a customer of Swedbank.
People who have a bank account registered with Försäkringskassan or who receive a pension do not need to register an account.
Before the payment, a letter with the decision must be sent out, digitally for those who have a digital mailbox for official mail, on paper for those who do not.
