Yesterday, Sunday, he got to know the devastation of the earthquake in southern Turkey.
Today, Blinken is negotiating with the Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu with the capital in Ankara.
The negotiations will discuss US aid to Turkey in dealing with the earthquake, as well as Finland’s and Sweden’s NATO applications, which Turkey has not yet ratified.
Blinken will also meet the Turkish president today Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
