Instagram is in the process of deploying what its users have undoubtedly been waiting for the most: the possibility of liking the stories published on the platform. And it was Adam Mosseri himself, the boss of Instagram, who announced the good news on Twitter.
Likes posted on stories remain private and have no counter associated with them. The like, represented by a heart, can be sent after tapping on the story, at the bottom of the screen, between the text field and the icon for sending a message. These likes are not counted as on traditional publications and do not pollute the integrated messaging inbox unnecessarily.
To find out who has liked their content, the author of the story must access the views pane where a heart is displayed in front of the name of the people who have viewed their story.
