MeinMMO author’s opinion of Cortyn:
For me, The Witcher III is one of the really big role-playing game milestones. Even if the open world can be overwhelming at the beginning and you look stunned when the level 20 giant suddenly knocks you out of your feet at level 5, it fits the world perfectly.
The game is carried by its grandiose story with different courses. Witcher III is quite brutal and unrelenting at times, doesn’t shy away from dark themes and is definitely not for people who prefer a more gentle RPG experience. Sometimes the revived miscarriage crawls around in the front yard with demon eyes or witches dripping with pus eat children’s fingers. And there’s sex on stuffed unicorns, too.
This harmonises well with the varied combat system. Great freedom in the choice of “spells” and equipment ensures that every Witcher Geralt plays a little differently.
By the way, you don’t have to have played the predecessors. The first few hours of play summarizes what happened quite well and ensures that you can lose yourself in the world without first reading hours of summaries.
Who is Witcher 3: Wild Hunt worth it for? The game is definitely worth it for fantasy fans. With the gripping story and the extensive possibilities that the game offers you, you can spend countless hours as Geralt without getting bored.
