Not only Benjamin received a gold award, two scouts from Nijkerk and the Scouting region Zeeland also received the honor. They received their award certificate from the Countess of Wessex and Forfar, Her Royal Highness Sophie Rhys-Jones. She is the wife of Prince Edward, youngest brother of King Charles III. Prince Edward chairs the International Council of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award for Young People. The Golden Award Ceremony was the last activity of the Countess during her working visit to the Netherlands.
