In the hacker thriller A Thin Line, 2 climate activists end up on different sides
The twin sisters Anna (Saskia Rosendahl) and Benni (Hanna Hilsdorf) fight together for what they believe in. They are environmental activists and ruthlessly explain climate crimes on their internet platform. But that’s not enough for them. The two hackers believe that to make real change, they need to do something more radical. So Benni and Anna are planning one Cyber attack on the government.
However, their action backfires and they fly open. This incident will henceforth lead the two sisters down different paths. While Anna caught by the Federal Criminal Police Office and is interrogated, her sister is able to escape. Finally, Benni finds refuge with a group of environmental activists, whom she increasingly radicalizes with her plans. They don’t shy away from violence either.

Henceforth the twin sisters stand on opposite sides. Benni and the group “The Last Stand” plan terrorist attacks. Her sister has to stop her. Because thanks to her godfather Christoph (Peter Kurth), Anna becomes part of the cybercrime unit of the Federal Criminal Police Office. So both sisters believe they are doing good and become confrontational about it. You are faced with impossible choices.

Sebastian Hülk (Dark, nothing new in the west) is the former Bundeswehr soldier and BKA colleague Simon Geiger, who is investigating with Christoph in the cybercrime department.
Julika Jenkins (Ferdinand von Schirach – Faith, Dark) plays Uli Krohn, who raised her daughters Benni and Anna together with her partner Marlene. However, the former environmental activist withdrew more and more after Marlene’s death.
Also part of the cast are Sohel Altan Gol (Buba), Hadewych Minis (Toni Erdmann), Aniol Kirberg (Das Boot) and Tala Al Deen (Tatort: He who hesitates is dead).
A Thin Line is produced by Jakob D. Weydemann and Jonas Weydemann, who together with Systems Sprenger one of the best German films of recent years brought to the cinema. Stefanie Ren (Für Jojo) is the head writer and directors are Sabrina Sarabi, who is reunited here with her Nobody is with the Calves lead actress Saskia Rosendahl, and Damian John Harper (The King of Palma)
