MEDAL JO. Thanks to the new gold medal of Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron, France is firmly established in the top 10 with 3 gold medals.
[Mis à jour le 14 février à 07h19] The second week of the Winter Olympics is off to a perfect start for the French delegation! After the harvest of medals this weekend with two bronze medals for Mathieu Faivre, the torchbearers in cross-country skiing and the new gold medal for Quentin Fillon Maillet in biathlon, it’s the couple on ice Gabriella Papadakis – Guillaume Cizeron which offers the 3rd gold medal to the French team in these 2022 Olympics. With 11 medals in total, the Blues are close to the record of 15 medals of Sochi and Pyeongchang.
Another change in the medal table of these Winter Olympics. Norway, favorites to finish first in this ranking, are again at the top of the table while France return to the top 10.
The Blues hope to obtain more than 15 medals in these Winter Olympics in Beijing and beat the record of Sochi and Pyeongchang. Thanks to Quentin Fillon-Maillet in particular, this Sunday February 13, France is now at 10 medals, but sorely lacking in gold since the start of the 2022 Olympics.
As a reminder, before the Olympics, Gracenote had predicted 17 medals for the French team, the count:
