City claimed the important three points at the home ground of the league leaders Arsenal, when they rose to a 3-1 victory over the Gunners in the second half.
Manchester City defeated Arsenal, who dominated the Premier League this season, 3–1 and passed them to the top of the league.
Both teams now have 51 points, but City have the better goal difference. However, the team has played one match more than Arsenal.
