Suspicious object at Landvetter was harmless
The police’s bomb experts were sent on Wednesday evening to a sorting terminal at Landvetter Airport outside Gothenburg after an alarm about a suspicious object.
The alarm came shortly after 9.30pm on Wednesday when staff on site responded to the object in question during an X-ray. The employees evacuated the premises on their own and neither passengers at the adjacent airport nor air traffic was affected.
Two hours after the alarm, the police announced that the national bomb protection had assessed the object as harmless and that the cordons had then been lifted. No crime is suspected.
