Tadej Pogacar (UAE Emirates) won the first stage of the Tour of Andalusia on Wednesday February 15 in Santiago de la Espada, in the south of Spain, by escaping alone thirteen kilometers from the finish. The Slovenian, already the author of a coup de force on Monday in Jaen for his first race of the season after a solo raid of more than 40 km, was briefly joined by Santiago Buitrago on the counterattack, but the Colombian did not failed to keep up with the pace of the winner of the Tour de France 2021. Winner sixteen times last season, Pogacar is therefore starting the year 2023 in the best possible way, where he will make the reconquest of the Tour de France his main objective.
