The requirements are that more people should be hired, that the staff should be given more support to deal with tough situations and that the scheduler should have the recovery in mind. The healthcare association also wants the Work Environment Agency to review the region in the same matter.
Niklas Silvert says that the biggest problem is the lack of nurses, which is an intractable problem.
– We have twenty vacancies right now, that affects the working environment, he says.
According to Niklas Silvert, the region already has a schedule that is adapted to the patient flow and there is time for reflection. The third point, reviewing the schedule to counteract ill health, is work that is already underway, says Niklas Silvert.
It sounds like you are quite satisfied with the work environment work you have done in the emergency room?
– Yes, I think we have come a long way. But I am not completely satisfied because we have employees who are not feeling well. We shouldn’t have that.
