The man wanted to persuade young girls to take pornographic photos and videos of themselves and share them with him. He tried to contact girls aged 11 to 13 through an online video game, pretending to be a girl too. He also had an account with a Philippine dating website, on which adult women offer young girls for similar practices for a fee. The judge only considers it proven in one case that the man is guilty of so-called grooming, or temptation to make child pornography.
