During the first session, the lawyer made an unsuccessful request to get Amina E. out of the women’s prison, where she has been staying since November. E. followed the session there via a video connection. According to her lawyer Mirjam Levy, E. was placed in a war situation as a child by people she trusted and the judiciary “can hardly hold her responsible for what happened there”. The court rejected the request because it is difficult to assess this statement and the suspicions are high.
