the trailer of the film unveiled at the Superbowl

A traditional big meeting for studios to communicate the trailers of their big releases of the year, the Superbowl 2023 saw the arrival with a bang of a trailer for the film The Flash worn by Ezra Miller.

[Mis à jour le 13 février 2023 à 17h33] Announced for years, The Flash movie finally hits theaters in June 2023. The DC Comics movie is directed by Andy Muschietti (It, Chapters 1 and 2) and worn by Ezra Miller, who we already saw in the role in the movie Justice League. Hit by numerous postponements due to the pandemic, the feature film then found itself mired in the scandals of its headliner. The film seems to be of particular importance for future productions of the DC universe in the cinema, taken over a few months ago by Peter Safran and James Gunn as co-directors of DC Studios. It must be said that like the Flashpoint series of comics, this new production offers nothing less than to integrate the DC Multiverse into the cinema! And we see it at work in the trailer unveiled during the Superbowl on February 12, 2023.

We discover Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) who wishes to return to the past to find his deceased mother. In doing so, he seems to disrupt the dimensional order of the Multiverse. He enters an alternate dimension where another version of himself exists, much like another version of Batman (carried here by Tim Burton’s Michael Keaton). Having disrupted the order of the Multiverse, Flash will try everything to put it back in order. We discover in this trailer the character of Supergirl, who makes her first cinematic appearance here in the DC universe on the big screen. The film The Flash is scheduled for a release date in France on June 14, 2023.

Two Batmans in the movie The Flash

After the announcement of Michael Keaton on the way back in the role of Bruce Wayne alias Batman, we discover today that Ben Affleck will also take over the role of the Dark Knight in the future film The Flash. Already seen in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League, the American actor had however hung up his cape after the mixed returns around the crossover film. However, it now seems that he plays an “important role” in The Flash, a film by Andy Muschietti. Ezra Miller takes over the role of Barry Allen alias Flash, the fastest man in the world. In the feature film, the character should navigate between several parallel dimensions, as is the case in the comics, which would allow him to come into contact with two different versions of Batman: that of Michael Keaton and that of Ben Affleck SO.

Andy Muschietti explains in the columns of Vanity Fair: “[Ben Affleck] has a very important role in the emotional impact of the film” he announces. “The interaction and the relationship between Barry and Ben Affleck’s Wayne will bring an emotional level never seen before.” The director, however, wishes to clarify that “it’s Barry’s movie. It’s his story. But these characters are more related than you might think. They both lost their mother in an assassination, it is one of the emotional threads of the film. That’s where Ben Affleck’s Batman comes in.”

Synopsis – Barry Allen, the fastest man in the world, causes trouble in the Multiverse by trying to travel to the past. In doing so, he must avoid its destruction. For this, he can count on the help of several versions of Batman, his own double from another dimension, but also Kara Danvers, alias Supergirl.
