(Finance) – Shines the Savings Bank of Genoa and Imperia, closing the session with an increase of 2.28%, on a day when banking stocks were subject to strong sales (the FTSE Italia All-Share Banks lost 3.11%). The title was driven by rumors according to which the Interbank Deposit Protection Fund (FITD) has approved the offer received from BPER Bankto which it will sell its 80% stake in Banca Carige.
The values of the transaction are also confirmed: the stake in Carige will be taken over by the Modenese bank for one euro, after recapitalization by the fund for 530 million. The title has closed at € 0.7901 per sharea share very close to € 0.80 to which BPER has said it will launch the takeover bid on the remaining shares of the Ligurian bank.
