What classes are there? At the release of Diablo 4 there will be 5 classes to choose from:
Similar to Diablo 3 and Diablo Immortal, you can choose your gender freely and even customize your character visually. However, each of the classes plays uniquely and differently.
What makes the classes special? Each class has its own unique mechanics that set it apart from other classes. For example, necromancers can rewrite their abilities with a book to shift their focus, sorceresses can modify their spells with passive abilities.
In the first official tests, it was already clear that you can change your builds and talents, but at a steadily increasing gold cost. At a certain point, starting a new character is said to be wiser than incurring the expense.

Which class should I play? 10 questions
The questions are designed so that you can answer them without thinking too much. Just decide from the gut and you should end up seeing a class that suits you. If you see several classes, there are probably different ways of playing that are suitable for you.

By the way, you don’t have to decide on a class in Diablo 4, you can play several characters. However, reaching the max level with a character alone takes 180 hours according to Blizzard. So you should be sure, at least with the first or second character, that you want to play him for a while.
Diablo 4 will officially be released on June 6, 2023 for PC, Xbox and PlayStation. Before that there will be an open beta, but a date is still missing. Those who pre-order the more expensive versions can play 4 days in advance. All information about Diablo 4 can be found in our overview:
