Volksbank 2022 profit rises to 755 million Dividend of E062

(Finance) – The South Tyrolean bank Volksbank closed the 2022 with a Net income of 75.5 million euros, an increase of 7.8% compared to the previous year. The return on equity (RoTE) stands at 9.6%, the best result in the institution’s history. The application of the 40% dividend payout leads the board of directors to propose the distribution of 0.62 euro per shareagainst a profit of 1.58 euro per share.

Volksbank records a 15% increase in characteristic revenueswhich reached over 310 million euros, thanks to a significant growth both in commissions that exceeded 100 million euros for the first time (+7% increase, driven in particular by the excellent new digital services), and by an increase in about 19% of the interest marginsupported by both the customer component and the finance component.

Prudent risk management made it possible to reduce by 58%. cost of riskwhich stands at 30 basis points, and to reduce the net share of the non-performing loan portfolio by 15% of the total portfolio (Net NPL Ratio) to 2.26%.
