Two men were taken to hospital with stab wounds
The police received an alarm on Saturday night about a man with stab wounds on Stora Torg in Eslöv. Once there, they found another man with stab wounds.
The two men are aged 18 and were taken to hospital by ambulance.
The place has been cordoned off during the night. The police have searched the area with the help of a dog and a technical investigation has been carried out.
During the day, the two men and witnesses will be interrogated, the incident will be classified as attempted murder.

Stoltenberg’s contract expires in September this year, but according to sources the newspaper is to remain in his post until April 2024.
The newspaper writes that they want him to lead NATO’s 75th anniversary conference, which will take place in Washington in April next year.
In the speculation about who can succeed Stoltenberg, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez and British Defense Minister Ben Wallace are mentioned.
Woman arrested for attempted murder after knife attack
A woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Oskarshamn, TT reports.
The alarm came at midnight, and the woman allegedly stabbed the man with a knife.
– It’s stabbing, I don’t know how many, says Thomas Paulsson at the police.
The police describe it as a relationship dispute.
According to the police, the man was awake and able to speak and has been taken to hospital. Both the suspected perpetrator and the victim are in their 30s and 40s.
More than 50,000 may have died in the disaster
The confirmed death toll in the earthquake disaster in Turkey and Syria is roughly 28,000 people.
But Martin Griffiths, the UN’s head of humanitarian affairs, says in an interview with Sky News that the real death toll is likely to be significantly higher.
– It is difficult to make an accurate estimate before we have dug down through the racial masses. But I’m sure the death toll is double or more, Martin Griffith said.
Tens of thousands of rescue workers are still searching for survivors and the dead among the remains of the thousands of houses that collapsed in the quake.
The UN has warned that at least 870,000 people are in urgent need of hot food in Turkey and Syria. In Syria alone, up to 5.3 million may have been made homeless by the quake. (TT)
Knifeman arrested for attempted murder
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, or attempted serious assault, after an incident in an apartment during the night in Nacka outside Stockholm.
The police received the alarm shortly after 01:00.
– There are several people in the apartment. And he lunged at several of them with a knife but did not hit anyone, says Fredrik Andersson, officer on duty at the Stockholm police.
The apartment has been cordoned off for a technical examination. (TT)
Woman dead in collision with moose
A middle-aged woman died when the car she was driving collided with a moose on the E14 in Östersund shortly before 10pm on Saturday evening.
The accident occurred west of the Rannåsen traffic area.
Four people were taken to Östersund Hospital for treatment and check-ups.
The car has been impounded and towed from the scene.
Warning of dangerous heat wave in Argentina
Argentina’s meteorological agency SMN has issued warnings of health-threatening heat in nine of the country’s provinces.
The South American country is suffering through this summer’s eighth heat wave – with temperatures of around 40 degrees. In the last decade, there have never been more than four to five such peaks per season.
Calculated from the period November to January, it is the hottest summer since 1961. The temperature is about 1.7 degrees higher than normal, according to SMN.
Swedish tents are sent to the disaster area
The authority for social security and preparedness (MSB) will fly down 300 family tents to Turkey on Sunday, the authority announces on its website.
The tents come from the Lions organization and MSB arranges the contact with recipients, transport and logistics for the equipment to reach the affected area.
Close to 26 million people are affected by the earthquake disaster in Turkey and Syria, according to the WHO. So far, more than 28,000 have been confirmed dead. (TT)
New protests against the government of Israel
Tens of thousands of Israelis protested again in several cities against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s new far-right government.
Protesters chanted demands for democracy accompanied by drums in central Tel Aviv. In the crowd were seen Israeli flags as well as rainbow flags and Palestinian flags.
The protesters and other critics believe that the coalition government’s policy on the judiciary threatens the country’s balance of power and democracy. (TT)
Suspected spy balloon over Canada shot down
North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) says Canadian Global News that another suspected spy balloon has been observed.

Flights from both the US and Canadian air forces should be in the air.
According to NORAD, several fighter jets took off from an air base in Alaska.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has ordered the balloon to be shot down.

Fight at meat restaurant
Several people smoked together this evening at a restaurant in Vasastan, in central Stockholm. One person is suspected of having been stabbed.

Attempted murder – two seriously injured in residence
Two people have been taken to hospital after a serious violent crime in an apartment in Baronbackarna in Örebro.
Both are seriously injured.
– Very serious violence has been used. It is cordoned off there and we have a lot of people working, says police spokesperson Lars Hedelin.
The injured are in their 25s and 50s, respectively.
Some form of restraint has been used, but the police do not want to go into what. Nor can they say what relationship the injured have to each other. The incident is being investigated as attempted murder and at the moment no one has been arrested.
It was the public who alerted the police at 19.26. At exactly the same time, there was an alarm about a serious robbery in a residence in Vivalla.
– A claimant was in a home, then several people came and attacked with great violence and took belongings.
The two events have taken place approximately 1.5 kilometers apart, as the crow flies.
– We see no immediate connection, says Lars Hedelin.
