One to hospital after scooter accident in the mountains
A person has had to be taken by ambulance helicopter to hospital after a scooter accident in Åre.
The police were alerted at 1:40 p.m. in the afternoon and dispatched mountain rescuers.
The extent of the injury is currently unclear.

The WHO has arrived in Syria
The World Health Organization WHO is now on the ground in Syria after the earthquake, The Guardian reports.
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, head of the WHO, is in Aleppo on Saturday and emergency medical aid is being sent into the country.
– We are very happy to be able to come here with equipment, he tells reporters on site.
It’s the WHO’s first shipment – more emergency aid expected on Sunday.
– People are at risk of diarrheal diseases and other health problems, especially in terms of mental health, he says.
The death toll after the earthquake could more than double
The death toll after the earthquake in Turkey and Syria could more than double, says UN chief Martin Griffiths to Sky News.
– It is the most catastrophic earthquake in 100 years, he says.
Griffiths adds that it is deeply shocking that there are still people under the racial masses.
The UN chief says that it is also difficult to make estimates of how many have died.
Over 24,000 people have so far been confirmed dead after the earthquake.
Gräns was opened for the first time in over 30 years
Five trucks with humanitarian aid from Armenia crossed the border with Turkey on Saturday. Something that hasn’t happened in over 30 years, reports the Turkish news agency Anadolu.

Suspect in murder case released at large
A 19-year-old woman who is suspected of involvement in a murder on Länsmanstorget in Gothenburg last July has been released pending sentencing, writes Göteborgs-Posten.
According to the prosecutor, the woman did not have such a central role in the crime and provided valuable information that led the investigation forward.
In addition to the woman, four men have been charged on suspicion of involvement in the murder in which a 22-year-old man was shot to death.
The prosecutor has requested a life sentence for all the men, but a prison sentence of eight and ten years for the suspected woman.
According to the police’s assessment, all of the accused belong to the criminal network Södra Biskopsgården, which has been in conflict with Norra Biskopsgården for several years.

Östlin speaks out about the sting – thanks for the support
S-top Ebba Östlin was pushed from the post of municipal board chairman in Botkyrka municipality two weeks ago.
Now she breaks the silence about recent events.
“I welcome that the party appointed an investigation based on the serious situation we are in,” she writes in a post on Facebook.
She also thanks for the support she has received since she was poked.
It was two weeks ago that Östlin was voted out at a members’ meeting.
Supporters of Östlin believe that she was couped because she decided to close ABF’s recreation centers in the municipality, while her opponents believe that they lacked confidence in her on a number of issues.

Man arrested for attempted murder
A man in his 40s was arrested on Saturday morning in Frölunda in Gothenburg, on suspicion of attempted murder.
– We receive a call from people who have heard a fight. When we get to the apartment, we meet a man and a woman. We will arrest the man on the spot, says Peter Adlersson, police spokesperson.
The woman has been beaten and strangled. She was taken to hospital and was awake and talking.
– She has been beaten during the morning and has to go by ambulance to the hospital, says Peter Adlersson.
The apartment has been cordoned off for a technical examination and door knocking has begun in the area.
SVT’s Russia correspondent leaves Moscow
Bert Sundström, SVT’s Russia correspondent, leaves his assignment, reports SVT Nyheter.
Sundström has covered Russia for over 20 years, but now he is leaving Moscow.
– When I started reporting on Russia, it was quite easy to work here. People talked openly about most things and the media were outspoken. Now basically all news channels work as part of the state apparatus, he says in a video clip.
He says that it has become more difficult to have open conversations in his job as a journalist and that he feels sad that the country increasingly seems to be closing in on a bubble.
– There has never been any democracy here. It looks pitch black. And it may take generations before the Russians get the prosperity they deserve. Unfortunately, he says.
S-förening in Botkyrka wants to have the top of the municipality back
Another local S association in Botkyrka municipality wants Ebba Östlin back as chairman of the municipal board, reports SVT Nyheter Stockholm.
Östlin was ousted in a controversial membership vote two weeks ago. According to information to Aftonbladet, a person with gang connections must have attended the meeting.
After the poke, an infected battle has flared up – which has reached all the way to the top of the party.
Previously, a local association in Norsborg has said that they want Ebba Östlin back as chairman. Now it is a Tumba association that has decided to nominate her.
“At well-attended member meetings in Tumba on 7/12 and 1/2, a large majority of members have expressed continued confidence in Ebba,” writes Eva Wedberg in a Facebook post.
During a meeting on Thursday, Jens Sjöström said that the local party board agreed that she would leave her post immediately.
Family rescued after 129 hours in the race masses
A rescue team in Turkey managed to save a family of five, 129 hours after the earthquake.
The family was found under the rubble of their house in the city of Nurdag in Gaziantep province, AP reports.
The aid organization White Helmets, which operates in northwestern Syria, assessed earlier today that there were no longer people alive in the racial masses. The work to search for living persons was therefore ended.
Austria cancels operation in Turkey
Austria’s army suspends the ongoing operation in Turkey after the earthquake, reports AFP.
The reason is that there have been clashes between different groups, an army spokesperson said without giving any further details.
Furthermore, the spokesperson says that soldiers from the army have taken shelter in a “base camp together with other international organizations pending instructions”.
Two people walked through the ice – were helped ashore by the rescue service
Two people ended up in the water outside Finspång when they went through the ice.
– They had been out on the ice in a place where you simply shouldn’t have been, but they got out of the water and out on the ice again, says police spokesperson Johnny Gustafsson.
Witnesses to the incident managed to get the people out of the water by throwing out ropes to the victims. The rescue service then got out onto the ice and managed to guide the people back to land.
– There were three people out on the ice, two of them ended up in the water. But we got out and managed to get them back on land, says Lennart Ågren, Duty Officer at the rescue service.
A helicopter was also sent out during the rescue work.
– We have finished the operation now, the cooled people are looked over by the ambulance, says Lennart Ågren.
