Who is Pierre de Maere?
Pierre de Maere d’Aetrycke, his real name, was born on May 24, 2001 in Uccle, Belgium. The youngest of three siblings, he is the son of a sound engineer, Xavier de Maere. It is very young that he is passionate about music and even begins to compose, barely a teenager. Completely self-taught, Pierre de Maere has never taken music theory or singing lessons. He plays piano and drums and is inspired by artists like Elton John. After trying to study photography, he returned to music and was spotted by Cinq7, a Wagram Music label.
In 2020, Pierre de Maere unveils two first pieces, Regret And Liarbefore revealing the title that will explode its notoriety: One day I will marry an angelreleased in November 2021. His career is launched, the nominations for music award ceremonies fall and Pierre de Maere walks from TV set to interviews in various media.
After being the first artist to win an NRJ Music Awards for Belgian Revelation in 2022, Pierre de Maere published Look at me, his first album, on January 27, 2023. On February 10 that year, the budding artist was nominated twice for the Victoires de la Musique, for the title of Male Revelation and Original Song of the Year.
