Add to that that its official release has yet to arrive for PC gamers owning the Standard version of the game, and you’ve got one of the biggest box office hits of recent years. At the same time, with an open world RPG in the world of Harry Potter of this quality, it was written. We take stock of the PC release.

It will not have escaped you that Hogwarts Legacy has not one, nor two, but three different release dates. The game will first appear on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, before arriving on PS4 and Xbox One in early April and Nintendo Switch in late July. On all the platforms mentioned, there is a Deluxe version and a Collector’s version of the game which both promise early access to the game upon release. However, if the release of the game on PS4 and Xbox One is in doubt, which implies that the existence of early access to the game on these platforms is possible, the release of Hogwarts Legacy on Switch is extremely doubtful. In any case, Warner Games and Avalanche Software will have to find ways to adapt the ambition of their RPG to the capabilities of the small hybrid console.
