Metroid Prime Remastered was revealed at the Nintendo Direct event for Nintendo Switch. Also, new games have been added for Game Boy and GBA game libraries.
In a recent Nintendo Direct presentation, Metroid Prime Remastered, an HD remaster of the first Metroid Prime game originally released on the Nintendo GameCube system, was announced for the Nintendo Switch system.
The digital version of Metroid Prime Remastered will launch on Nintendo Switch later today, and the physical version will hit stores on February 22. Nintendo also announced that a growing library of select Game Boy games will join the Nintendo Switch Online service later today, starting with nine classic titles, and the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service will receive a growing library of select Game Boy Advance titles.

The sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is also featured in today’s Nintendo Direct. Gameplay footage of Link’s massive adventure included floating islands above Hyrule, never-before-seen weapons and mysterious vehicles. In addition, the first full gameplay trailer of Pikmin 4, the newest game in the series, which asks you to overcome obstacles by guiding tiny creatures on a strange planet, has been released. The latest episode features a Space Dog, Ice Pikmin and a host of new discoveries and will arrive on Nintendo Switch on July 21.
Other highlights of the video presentation include highlights from Nintendo’s development and publishing partners, showing the return of many beloved characters and series to Nintendo Switch. These include PROFESSOR LAYTON and The New World of steam, the new game in the Layton series; Disney Illusion Island presents Mickey and Friends in a 2D platform adventure; Samba de Amigo: Party Central, the classic rhythm game reborn more wonderfully than ever; Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster, a revival of Nintendo GameCube RPG classics; Ghost Trick: Mysterious thriller Phantom Detective; and the return of the King of the Whole Universe in We Love Katamari REROLL+ Royal Reverie.
