The American composer Burt Bacharach is dead, AP reports.
Burt Bacharach was one of the greatest composers of pop music in the second half of the 20th century. He was the author of songs like “I say a little prayer” and Raindrops keep fallin’ on my head”.
His songs were interpreted by, among others, Dionne Warwick, Dusty Springfield, Elvis Presley and The Beatles.
Bacharach received six Grammy Awards and three Academy Awards. In 2001 he was awarded the Polar Prize. He was 94 years old.
