Man of Steel was the starting signal for the DCEU, which has been running for the past decade developed more or less successfully became. Failed Henry Cavill Sequel: Man of Steel 2 will never be a reality
One thing, however, never happened: one classic sequel to the film that brought it all into being. For ten years, Superman actor Henry Cavill fought for Man of Steel 2. Although it even looked as if the project would finally become a reality, all hope is now lost.

The absurd thing is: it was only last year that hopes were real as big as it hasn’t been for a long time. Cavill, whose Superman also appeared in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League and Zack Snyder’s Justice League respectively, returned to screens as a steely DC hero for the Black Adam post-credits scene.
Said post-credits scene was supposed to herald Cavill’s Superman return. While Black Adam star Dwayne Johnson was raving about a potential crossover film, fans were Desire for Man of Steel 2 fueled. A few months later, however, it is clear that this film will never be made under the new DC leadership.
Director James Gunn and producer Peter Safran took control of DC Studios in 2022 and just unveiled their plan for a new DC Universe a few days ago. One name is definitely not one of them: Henry Cavill. Instead, 2025 awaits us new superman movie named Superman: Legacy.
At a press conference, Gunn explained exactly what happened to Cavill at DC:
i like henry He’s a great guy. But he was pushed around by a lot of people, including the former regime of this company. But our new Superman isn’t Henry for a number of reasons still not suffered. With the agent action Argylle on Apple TV+ and the Amazon series Warhammer 40,000, Cavill has found two major projects that can develop into their own ranks in the future.
