Spotlight Hour with Taubsi starts today, February 7th, in Pokémon GO. We’ll show you everything about Shinys, bonuses and the times of the event.
What is this event? Tuesday night is the designated date for a spotlight hour in Pokémon GO. From 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., the event focuses on a special Pokémon that changes every week. At the beginning of each month, the Niantic team indicates which monsters will be the focus in the following weeks.
Each event is accompanied by a bonus that brings you either more XP, more candies or more stardust. Today you will meet the first generation Pokemon Taubsi. It belongs to the Normal and Flying types and can evolve into Tauboga and Tauboss.

When does it start? As you know from these events, this spotlight hour also starts at 18:00 local time. It is then active for one hour and ends again at 19:00 local time.
What bonuses are there? You will find Taubsi almost everywhere in the wilds of Pokémon GO. Encounters are significantly increased. If you want to find more specimens, you can light a smoke to help.
You get twice the amount of experience points for evolving Pokémon.
Today is the first spotlight hour in February. There are three more waiting for you, which we have listed for you here:

Can you catch Shiny Taubsi? Yes, the dazzling version of Taubsi has already been unlocked in Pokémon GO. If you’re lucky, you can catch them today during Spotlight Hour. But keep in mind that, unlike on a Community Day, the Shiny chances are not increased.
Is today’s spotlight worth it? If you are interested in PvP then Tauboss is a good choice for Super and Hyper League. Those who prefer to play raids will find a good attacker in Mega Tauboss. For PvP and PvE, it’s worth securing a few powerful specimens of Taubsi and then evolving them.
If you want, you can earn additional experience points by evolving Pokémon.
