Ukraine has been rumored to be in political trouble amid the fierce fighting. And late on Sunday, the news came: Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov will be removed and replaced by the head of the military intelligence service, Kyrylo Budanov.
The announcement was made by MP David Arachamia.
– War dictates personnel matters, he said, adding:
– Time and circumstances force reinforcements and regroupings. This is happening now and it will happen in the future.
Further reasons were not given when the announcement was made, but rampant corruption allegations may have contributed to the decision.
