Linn Sömskar followed up yesterday’s gold in 15 km by leading IFK Umeå to relay gold in the SC week over 3×5 km classic in heavy snowfall in Skövde.
She set full speed straight away on her final stretch and never gave Sofia Henriksson’s Piteå a chance.
– I tried to pull and saw what happened. Knew that Sofia would have to feel the same headwind. I just tried to focus forward, says Sömskar.
Elina Rönnlund on the second stretch gave Sömskar five important seconds. Magdalena Nilsson was second on stage one.
