SARDOCHE CHESSBOXING. The youtuber and e-sport champion Sardoche is playing his first chessboxing fight on Friday February 3, 2023 in Paris. How to follow this fight mixing chess and English boxing live? What is the path of the gamer and its gray areas? Here’s all the info you need to know!
It is an unusual event that could well shake the French web this Friday evening: a “chessboxing” fight, this new sport combining rounds of English boxing and a game of chess between two players inspired by a comic book by Enki Bilal. This sport has developed little by little, but it is above all the identity of one of the two participants who is already creating the buzz: Sardoche, the French youtuber with more than one million subscribers, e-sport champion on the game League of Legends and became one of the figures of French gaming.
The former engineering school student dropped everything to make a living from his videos where he mixes gaming, travel, various games including chess or even ASMR, this relaxation practice based mainly on whispering and so-called relaxing noises. While he was to fight a chess boxing fight against a specialist in the discipline in Los Angeles in 2022, it is finally in Paris that he will fight this fight on Friday February 3 against Kevin Guedj, vice-president of Chessboxing Paris club which has only one fight to its credit.
If you want to follow the Sardoche chessboxing fight on February 3, 2023, go to the internet. The fight is part of a big evening of chessboxing at the Cabaret Sauvage in Paris. The fight between Sardoche and Kevin Guedj is one of four fights on the program, two of which will be used to award the titles of champion of France and world champion. The evening should start at 7:30 p.m. and last part of the night. The event will be broadcast live on the Twitch platform and on this page.

Sardoche, whose real name is Andreas Honnet, has become a star of social networks in the world of gaming. He now has more than 1.3 million subscribers on the Twitch platform, which specializes in particular in the broadcasting of live video games, but also 700,000 on Twitter and more than 300,000 on his Youtube accounts.
Aged 29 today, Sardoche made a name for himself through the game League of Legends, of which he became one of the French muses, then by diversifying his videos, presenting chess games to his subscribers during the 2020 confinement. This is how he took the plunge into chessboxing, the sport mixing chess and English boxing.
The young man is not stingy with controversy and has repeatedly been critical of the sexist and toxic nature of some of his live remarks to his subscribers, an aspect that he claims to have erased. “I am whole and I assume my excesses. I was not a very good guy at the time, but it is no longer my daily life, he assures today in remarks taken up by the newspaper Le Parisian: “I have evolved over the past three years. I go to the ring to show that I have changed, in every sense of the word.”
“Pointeur”, “Pédo”… Sardoche’s latest publications on the internet are often followed by reactions multiplying this kind of accusations. The controversy erupted in the fall of 2022 after the publication of a “thread” on Twitter from his ex-girlfriend, the Youtuber Kyria accusing him of sexual relations with a minor aged 16 at the time, a case that Sardoche publicly acknowledged while emphasizing that this person was consenting and accusing his ex-partner of having broadcast private conversations on the web.
Sardoche had justified himself and then apologized, acknowledging “immoral” behavior and has since “changed” in a long post on his Twitter account (see below). The term “prey” used in an old video about a minor was also shocking. The case, which has not been followed by any legal action, has earned the Youtuber the loss of numerous sponsorship contracts and a tarnished reputation.
Since his eruption on social networks, Sardoche has been talked about as much for his gaming performance as for controversial statements and a somewhat angry temperament. One of his videos has even become a meme on the internet, these humorous pellets that we exchange to illustrate a situation. We see the gamer become furious at the end of a game to the point of mistreating the desk and the computer…
Like the stars of English boxing supported by a whole clan at the edge of the ring, will Sardoche be able to count on Friday on a famous support? For several months, the gamer has been appearing on the web with Roxane ASMR, another Bordeaux Youtuber specializing in ASMR videos, this practice of relaxation based on visual or auditory stimuli by listening to videos. multiplying whispers and relaxing sounds.
The two Youtubers have even created a joint ASMR channel “Sard & Roro”, multiply trips and videos together, share an apartment in Bordeaux and present themselves as two “roommates” to their subscribers, without ever confirming a romantic relationship whispered by their subscribers. Aged 25, Roxane ASMR has 240,000 subscribers on her Youtube page and also broadcasts videos on Twitch.
