SMHI has issued a yellow warning for snowfall that applies to large parts of Västra Götaland, Halland, Blekinge and parts of Kronoberg, Kalmar, Skåne and Jönköping counties.
The snowfall moves in from the west early Friday morning and is expected to give 5-10 centimeters of snow during the day. Locally it can be up to 15 centimeters.
– During Thursday night, we have an area of precipitation that moves in over the southern parts of the country. It is in connection with this that SMHI issued a yellow warning for snowfall, says TV4 Nyheternas meteorologist Linda Eriksson.
The snow can cause problems for traffic, which can slow down due to slippage and poor visibility.
There is also a risk of delays and canceled departures in public transport, as well as limited access on roads that have not had time to clear snow.
But after rain comes sunshine.
– This drags away during the evening, so Saturday offers sunshine in large parts of the country.
