The trailer for The Covenant, the new movie starring Jake Gyllenhaal, has been released. Gyllenhaal, US Army Sergeant whose team was ambushed by the Taliban John KinleyIt animates.
In the trailer, Kinley is seriously injured and about to die, when his group’s Afghan translator Ahmed (Dar Salim of Curveball) intervenes to save the sergeant’s life.
In the aftermath of the ambush, Ahmed resigned as he and his family were not given safe passage to America as promised. Beginning to hide from the Taliban. In debt to Ahmed, Kinley returns to the battlefield to save Ahmed and his family before the Taliban reach them.
In the last few years, Gyllenhaal has turned to action thrillers. Academy Award nominee, Antoine Fuqua The Guilty and Michael Bay’s Ambulance movies and will star as Dalton in Doug Liman’s upcoming remake of Road House.
Gyllenhaal will also star in Apple TV+’s Presumed Innocent, based on the 1990 legal thriller starring Harrison Ford.
