During his teenage years, Guillaume Canet was absolutely not predestined to the cinema. He had a passion: horses and show jumping races. He dreamed of becoming a rider. But at 18, he was forced to end his professional career because of a bad fall. In an interview at Psychologies Magazinethe actor reveals however to have experienced this accident “like a revelation”: following this accident, he “left to do a theater internship at Cours Florent and I discovered how pleasant it was for me to be on scene, everything it touched deep inside me. It quickly became obvious, and now I wouldn’t be able to do anything else.”
