Futurama has one very moving story behind. Fusing science fiction with comedy, the animated series was created by The Simpsons creator Matt Groening and premiered on Fox in March 1999. After five seasons, however, it was over. The US broadcaster decided to withdraw.
In 2010, Comedy Central came into play, bringing Futurama back from the dead for two more seasons. Then came the next dismissal. The last episode to date was broadcast in September 2013. A decade later, however, new adventures involving Philip J. Fry, Turanga Leela and Co. are in the works.

In total 20 new episodes await us as part of the 8th season of Futurama. Alongside Lauren Tom, many names return from the familiar cast, from John DiMaggio and Billy West to Katey Sagal and Tress MacNeille to Maurice LaMarche, Phil LaMarr and David Herman.
You can play the first seven seasons of Futurama already at Disney+ stream. You can expect a total of 140 episodes full of crazy stories, idiosyncratic characters and pop culture references until you drop. After The Simpsons, Groening created another formative animated series with Futurama.
