Around 600,000 bank IDs are renewed by private individuals every month, and to prevent them from being used in connection with fraud, security is now further strengthened, including passports and national ID cards.
– You must scan your passport or ID card in connection with issuing a new bank ID. It makes the type of fraud that takes place remotely more difficult, says Claes Birgersson, head of IT security at BankID.
