In 2019, the Chinese team FunPlus Phoenix won the world championship in League of Legends against the Europeans from G2 in the final: the outstanding players of the tournament were midlaner Doinb and his brilliant partner in the jungle: Tian. In 2023 there is apparently a really bad atmosphere between the legendary world champion duo.
Who are the two?
It looked like the two could usher in an era in LoL as a brilliant mid-jungle duo.
Tian became the LoL World Champion out of nowhere – career started with a dream
How did that go? It stayed with the one strong year. Doinb was voted MVP in China in 2021, but the two were no longer able to win major titles.
Both played for FunPlus Phoenix for 2 more years after the 2019 World Cup victory, but things didn’t go well anymore:
The team broke up. Before 2022, Doinb moved to LNG Esports, Tian went to Top Esports.
Tian unfollowed Doinb on social media
What’s the dispute now? Tian made a name for himself with a series of social media posts on January 26:
In the wake of this action, Tian apparently decided to clean up his ties and “unfollowed” a number of people on social media, including his early teammate Doinb and his wife, Umi.
Doinb compares Tian to crying mummy Amumu
How did Doinb react now? The world champion midlaner was apparently pissed off at being blacklisted by Tian. He had nothing to do with the situation at all.
Doinb wrote:
It’s hard to be a man’s friend or teammate when he blacklists you for no reason.
But Doinb wasn’t done yet. He applied the maximum punishment and compared Tian to the crying mummy Amumu:
If you don’t talk to anyone yourself, you turn into Amumu. You can’t blame anyone, you should blame yourself. Nobody from the old “FunPlus Phoenix” crew speaks to him anymore.
Tian is said to be a terrible loser – ended Nuguri’s career
According to Doinb, Tian is a terrible loser, attacking other people’s families after losing in training matches.
Also, according to Doinb, Tian is responsible for the resignation of top laner Nuguri. Tian must apologize for this:
How does Tian react? So publicly reprimanded, Tian quickly backtracks. He said he may have been impulsive and rude because of his personal relationship issues. He shouldn’t have disturbed anyone. That is his Din, which he takes care of.
But Tian insists that he has nothing to do with Nuguri’s resignation. He never had a problem with him and never had a bad conscience. Apparently he doesn’t want to let this accusation sit on him.
Apparently no one wants to be Amumu.
