The man who was shot dead inside the gym in Vasastan in central Stockholm last March was not the intended victim, but was accidentally shot when he intervened to stop the shooting.
A boy who was 16 years old at the time is suspected of holding the weapon and last week he was charged with murder along with three men. In the preliminary investigation, which has now become public after a confidentiality review, you can see how the shooter enters the gym with his weapon drawn.

The images also show how the intended target, a man in the motorcycle gang Bandidos, just manages to escape from the premises. According to the prosecutor, there has been a conflict between the Bandidos and another criminal network and that may be the motive.
After the murder, the suspected boy flees abroad. He was later arrested when he returns to Sweden and denies the crime.
In the interrogation, there are many questions he does not want to comment on. When asked if he has been subjected to threats or pressure attempts, he answers “Absolutely not”.
In addition to the murder, the now 17-year-old boy is also charged with public destruction after throwing a hand grenade into a restaurant on Södermalm last year. No one was injured in the explosion.
