Lisa Eriksson managed to clinch the bronze in Saturday’s sprint competition at the championship in Canada.
An achievement considering that a case was on the first day.
In today’s 20 km classic, the Norwegian Milla Grosberghaugen Andreassen was too strong to catch up and pass, but Eriksson fought for the silver ahead of the Finnish Eevi-Interi Tossavainen.
— I felt quite early in the race that it was quite a difficult day. I didn’t have that last clip in my stride. It was just trying to make the best of the situation, says Eriksson to SVT.
In two races she now has two medals and in the JVM context four medals. The secret?
“I focus on what I have to do,” she tells SVT.
Elin Näslund finished seventh, Tove Ericsson eighth.
