Eléna Cluyou, a 22-year-old student, disappeared on the morning of January 29 while leaving a nightclub in Brest. The police launched an appeal for witnesses and began the search to find the young woman.
She left the nightclub and never reappeared. Eléna Cluyou, a 22-year-old student disappeared in the early morning of Sunday January 29, 2023. The young woman who was partying with a group of friends left “The One” nightclub in Brest around 5:20 a.m. and did not no sign of life since according to The Telegram. Her relatives, present on the spot, looked for her in vain and the family, having heard nothing, decided to report the disappearance on Sunday evening to the Brest police station.
An investigation was opened and the police went to the nightclub to begin the search. Different teams were mobilized to crisscross the area and try to find Eléna Cluyou. The search continued until 9 p.m. Sunday evening and continues on Monday with the viewing of CCTV images of the night establishment.
A call for witnesses launched to find Eléna Cluyou
Faced with this disappearance considered worrying, the police immediately launched an appeal for witnesses on the morning of Monday, January 30. According to the wanted poster, the young woman is described as thin and 1.65 meters tall, with brown/green eyes and long brown hair. She wore a khaki top, a leather skirt and a black coat the last time she was seen near the Quai Tabarly and the Château marina in Brest. Anyone who may have information or who has seen Eléna Cluyou is invited to contact the police on 02 21 09 53 60.
What do the police searches show?
The police began the search as soon as the disappearance was reported, on Sunday evening, to try to find Eléna Cluyou. Several teams were dispatched to the place of disappearance to collect testimonies and access surveillance videos from the nightclub. The images are being viewed and should allow the police to learn about the direction taken by the young woman and the circumstances of her disappearance.
The Brest nightclub being located on the quay of Tabarly, teams of divers were mobilized to probe the waters of the harbor of Brest. In addition to the divers, a canine brigade also went on site to mark out the entire perimeter near the establishment to the port. At this stage, the searches have not yet yielded anything.
