The community center rooms of the Salvation Army have been around for years. Now they are known as ‘Warm Rooms’ in order to also be a haven for people who prefer to leave the heating off at home due to the high costs. For many local residents it is the place for a cup of coffee and to catch up with neighbors. For others, it’s a regular part of their day or week. That firmness provides something to hold on to in a life that is sometimes very restless.
