Spencer said, “We’re in a kind of uncharted territory in the industry doing what we’re doing with Game Pass. So it’s harder for us to go out and look at examples that will help us gauge how fast we need to grow. We’re at an all-time high for paid subscribers, and Game Pass continues to grow. “I’m happy with the growth,” he said.
In addition, regarding the decrease in revenue, he stated that Age of Empires, Forza Horizon 5, Halo Infinite were available in the same period of last year, but they could not include such big titles in this quarter of the year, and this directly affected the growth of XBox Game Pass.
Stating that the future of the platform will gain momentum with the release of Redfall and Starfield and that they attach great importance to these games, Spencer showed that he has no doubts about the future of XBox Game Pass.
