A man in his 60s has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting a close woman in Eskilstuna.
The woman was taken to hospital by ambulance. She was awake and able to speak, the rest of the damage was unclear, the police write on their website.

A man detained at the police station in Eskilstuna is suspected of violence against an officer and violent resistance.
The man, who is in his 40s, allegedly attacked the staff late on Saturday evening.

A scooter accident has occurred in Gällivare shortly before midnight on the night of Sunday.
The driver has been taken to hospital by ambulance. The extent of the damage is unclear.

Man dead after head-on collision
A man has died after a collision between two cars on the E22 outside Fårbo in Oskarshamn municipality during the night of Sunday.
The man, who is in his 30s, is said to have crossed into the oncoming lane and then collided with a car.
All those involved in the accident had to be taken to hospital.
The accident will be investigated further, the police write on their website.
The man’s next of kin have been notified.
At least 39 people dead in bus accident
At least 39 people have died in a bus accident in Pakistan on Sunday morning, the newspaper Dawn reports.
The bus is said to have driven into a pillar on a bridge and then crashed down an avalanche and caught fire, according to the newspaper.
The local rescue service was able to save three people.
The bus was traveling between the stops Quetta and Karachi.
Dead and injured in earthquake
At least two have died and several hundred have been injured after an earthquake occurred in Iran on Saturday evening, reports TT and refers to Iran’s state media.
The earthquake was of magnitude 5.9 and occurred near the town of Khoy in the province of West Azarbaijan.
580 people are said to have been injured, provincial governor Mohammad Sadegh Motamedian told the state news agency Irna.
Man to hospital after knife injury
A man has been taken to hospital after he was stabbed in a home in Västerhaninge south of Stockholm.
The police were alerted to the incident at 05.50 on Sunday morning.
– We have started a preliminary investigation into attempted murder, says Anna Westberg, press spokesperson at the police.
There is no further information on the damage situation at this time.
North Korea denies arms deliveries to Wagner

North Korea has rejected the US’s claim that Pyongyang supplied robots and missiles to the private Russian mercenary group Wagner Group, which is fighting in Ukraine, writes TT.
In a statement on the state news agency KCNA, North Korea warns that the result will be “very unpleasant” if the country continues to spread “self-produced rumours”.
It was in December that the White House released intelligence images purportedly showing North Korea supplying weapons to Wagner for the group’s operations in Ukraine.
Explosion in Upplands Väsby
Less than two hours after the explosion in Bro, there were several alarms about a new detonation – this time in Upplands Väsby.
The police and emergency services have a large presence in the area.
“There was a huge bang with pressure so that the windows rattled. Now the police helicopter can be heard approaching,” writes a reader to Aftonbladet.

Explosion in Bridge: “Incredible bang”
Police and emergency services are on the scene in Upplands-Bro, northwest of Stockholm, after an explosion at an apartment building.
– There were many calls from people who heard a loud bang. Emergency services and an ambulance are there. No one has been taken to hospital, says Sören Gustavsson, team leader at Sos Alarm.

Explosion at military facility in Iran
A powerful explosion occurred on Saturday evening at a military facility in the city of Isfahan Iran, Reuters reports with reference to state media.
According to the information, the building was attacked with drones.
“One of them was hit by anti-aircraft fire and the other two were caught in defense traps and exploded. Fortunately, this failed attack caused no loss of life and only caused minor damage to the roof,” the defense ministry said in a statement via the Irna news agency.
According to previous media reports, the attack was aimed at an ammunition factory.

At least two people have died and 122 people have been injured after an earthquake in northwestern Iran, reports Reuters.
The earthquake occurred in the city of Khoy on Saturday and had a magnitude of 5.9 on the Richter scale.
