Two people have died and two people are missing after torrential downpours and flooding hit New Zealand’s largest city, Auckland, according to police.
Authorities have declared a state of emergency in the region and Premier Chris Hipkins is urging Aucklanders to prepare for more rain.
Auckland Airport was closed on Friday after it was flooded. The artist Elton John’s concerts this weekend were also canceled due to the rain.
