A large police operation began on Thursday evening in Solna north of Stockholm.
– We are there and working, it is an investigation matter. We are looking for people, says the police spokesperson in Stockholm, Daniel Wikdahl, and confirms to TV4 Nyheterna that a major operation is underway.
Now Wikdahl tells TT that two people have been arrested.
– They have also seized a weapon-like object. If it is a sharp weapon, I cannot answer, says Daniel Wikdahl.
He does not want to go into details about those arrested or what was the basis for the operation, but according to information to TV4 Nyheterna, it is connected with the recent wave of violence, which the police confirm.
– The investigation has to do with the serious crime in Stockholm that we are working against.

19/1 – Two apartments in the Stockholm area are shelled on the night of Thursday. Earlier in the evening, a man was abducted in central Stockholm – three men were arrested.
20/1 – The police initiate a so-called special event due to the ongoing spiral of violence in the capital, after new shootings and explosions at night. Late in the evening, a man is shot to death in Huvudsta center in Solna. In Skarpnäck, an explosion occurs in a stairwell.
