On the occasion of this day of mobilization of opponents of vaccination against the Covid-19 virus, Canberra, the Australian capital, also saw around 10,000 people converge today, who came to mark their opposition to compulsory vaccination, which is the responsibility of many professional categories. Despite strong mobilization, no major incident took place.

By car, truck and even caravan, between 10,000 and 15,000 people gathered opposite the Australian Parliament today, on a day dubbed by its organizers “Superhero Saturday”. With the exception of three people who tried to break through the roadblocks set up by the police, this demonstration took place peacefully.
Who is responsible ?
In this country, where more than 95% of the population is vaccinated against Covid-19, Prime Minister Scott Morrison, politically beleaguered, said he understood these protesters. He also rejected the responsibility for the establishment of vaccination obligations on the Australian states, specifying that he, at the head of the federal state, had only imposed it on nursing staff and in retirement homes.
Around the police
Anthony Albanese, the leader of the opposition who is on the rise a few weeks before the next federal election, simply told them to go home. Advice they should follow. If they haven’t left by tomorrow, the police will come and dislodge them.
