Jason Tesson doubles the lead and takes the yellow jersey

Already winner of the 2nd stage in Mitzic, the French rider Jason Tesson did it again this Wednesday, January 25, by winning the 3rd stage which arrived in Mouila in a sprint. Here he is, the new leader of the Tropicale Amissa Bongo.

The third stage of the Tropicale Amissa Bongo which was disputed this Wednesday, January 25 between Lébamba and Mouila, in the department of Louetsi-Wano, was won by the Frenchman Jason Tesson. He had already imposed the day beforestill sprinting.

After 113 kilometers of racing, and numerous breakaway attempts, the rider from the TotalEnergies team was the fastest. He beat Dane Alexander Salby (Bingoal WB) and his teammate Geoffrey Soupe. In the general classification, it is now Jason Tesson who takes control of the 2023 edition of the Tropicale. Geoffrey Soupe and Cyril Barthe (Burgos BH) complete this 100% tricolor podium. The first African runner, Henok Mulueberhan (Eritrea) is in fourth place. Thursday, the peloton will tackle the longest stage of the week with 190 kilometers on the program, between Mouila and Lambaréné.
